Investment Banking
GIB offers a range of investment banking products and services that are designed to provide innovative financial and investment solutions for individual client needs. The portfolio incorporates financial advisory services in connection with mergers, disposals and acquisitions; privatisations; strategic advice; project finance, equity placements (IPOs and private placements); and project and structured finance.
Through an intuitive understanding of the Gulf region, GIB is one of the few GCC-based institutions capable of providing strategic financial advice to the public and private sectors. The on-going liberalisation of GCC business and investment laws, together with the impact of accession to WTO, will add momentum to the demand for advisory services, and the Bank is well positioned to play a leading role in meeting these needs. In addition, Investment Banking is able to provide project finance advisory services to the dynamic investment programmes of the GCC states.
Backed by a highly qualified, dedicated team of professionals in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, and supplemented by offices in Bahrain, London and New York, GIB provides financial advisory services to a wide range of public- and private-sector clients in the Middle East. Typically, Investment Banking services incorporate due diligence, valuation and structuring, as well as placement advice and implementation.
Working with other divisions of the Bank, Investment Banking is potentially able to offer a comprehensive solution to clients through its advisory capability, plus underwriting of debt and equity and provision of project or acquisition finance.
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, investment banking services are conducted through GIB's subsidiary GIB Financial Services, which is licensed by the Capital Market Authority.
